Artville Talks with Allison Hueman Moderated by Pedro Andrade

Join Oakland-based artist Allison Hueman and New York-based journalist Pedro Andrade for Artville Talks.

Allison Hueman creates dynamic paintings, murals, site-specific installations, and new media works that oscillate between abstraction and representation of human form. Driven by instinct and experimentation, Hueman renders sublime and transcendent experiences by abstracting figures, layering and enveloping them in vivid colors with paint and textiles.  

Pedro Andrade is a New York-based journalist from Rio de Janeiro, where he built a successful career anchoring Manhattan Connection, a political news program that reaches millions weekly.

Artville Talk: Conversation with Collector Jeff Magid

Jeff Magid is a Los Angeles–based art collector, advisor, and curator. Magid has built a collection rooted in community and the early championing of emerging talent. His perspective as an “outsider” turned advocate allows him to speak authentically about the pathways into collecting, the role of instinct in building a meaningful art collection, and the power of personal connection in the creative process. Beyond his own collecting, he has become a trusted voice in shaping the future of contemporary art, supporting leading institutions such as MOCA LA, ICA Miami, and LACMA, and using his Instagram presence to demystify the art world with candid insights for collectors, curators, and creators alike.
