2026 Afterdark Artists
strangehandle
Born in Nashville, TN, strangehandle is a kinetic light artist who animates large spaces with light and technology. His interactive architecture and projection mappings respond to their surroundings, whether that’s the facial expressions of a crowd or the phase of the moon. His work lives on stages and inside buildings like The Pinnacle and The Madnest.
G
G is a Nashville-based visual artist and fabricator working in light and built form. Drawing on metal and wood fabrication, 3D design, and live production, he builds sculptures that come alive through movement and light.
John Holmes
John Holmes is a new media artist whose work investigates how technological systems shape alienation and desire. Working across sculpture, installation, video, collage, and performance, he builds experiential environments that treat light, sound, and software as sculptural materials, inviting participants into spaces of play and reflection. His recent work questions what can actually be seen, reached, or understood across the boundary between interiors and exteriors.
Rachael Steward
Rachael Steward is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working in visual art, music, and new media. Her work focuses on memory, grief, the emotional relationship we build with people and places and the ways art and technology can create space for human stories.
