Artville is Nashville’s first and only annual public arts festival dedicated to highlighting Nashville’s creative culture through site-specific art installations, immersive experiences, and art collecting opportunities - all free to the public.

American Artisan @ Artville

The American Artisan Festival, one of Nashville’s longest-running art festivals, is now part of Artville. The festival will continue to showcase over 75 local and national contemporary craft and fine artists up Martin Street in Wedgewood Houston a short walk from the Artville Walls and right next to the public art installations.

The festival will continue its tradition of hosting a live-music stage throughout the weekend, which will be located on Martin Street. There will also be a wide selection of delectable food trucks, beverages and sweets, as well as several opportunities for kids art activities, face-painting, artist talks and community-based art-driven programming.

Imagine the long-term economic and cultural impact of an immersive, high quality art festival experience right here in Nashville – visitors and residents alike are seeking new ways to experience art - and Artville is it.

With a vision of building a nationally recognized city-wide art festival, Artville aims to drive arts-related tourism, and support Nashville’s growing community of visual artists, galleries, art museums, and cultural institutions through an annual event. Co-founded by Samantha Saturn and Jack Davis and supported in part by The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation, Artville has become a major event that celebrates and amplifies Nashville’s vibrant artistic community.

Public Art Installations and Programs

Creating space for public art for all to see and experience is the heart of community engagement.

The Artville Public Art Award Recipients have been announced along with the new muralists selected to complete the Artville Walls project on Martin and Chestnut.

Don’t miss this ephemeral collection of walls before they go!

Local Art Galleries and Artist Talks

Artville is also working in partnership with local Wedgewood Houston galleries including David Lusk Gallery, Julia Martin Gallery, The Packing Plant and Zeitgeist to host unique programming and highlight their exhibitions throughout the weekend. The Nashville Free Poetry Library will return this year with an all-day Zine Fest on Saturday hosted across from the galleries on Hagan Street.

Live Music and Evening Events

A stage will host our American Artisan @ Artville stage with live music every day throughout the weekend. The neighborhood will also come alive at night with a Friday Kick Off event, an evening focused on bringing the community together to celebrate art-experiences together.
